The amounts of water and sugar are garbled in the file; the directions say 3/4 cup water, and 3/4 cup is assumed for the sugar too. Keeps frozen up to 20 days.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Water
- 3/4 cup Sugar, amount unclear in the file
- 1 can Sweetened condensed milk, 14-ounce
- 1 cup Lime juice, fresh, from limes or key limes, or bottled key lime juice
Directions
- Bring the water and sugar to a boil in a medium heavy saucepan, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Mix in the condensed milk, then the lime juice.
- Transfer to a medium bowl set over a larger bowl of ice water and cool, stirring often, about 30 minutes.
- Churn in an ice cream maker, then freeze in a container until firm, at least 4 hours.
