Vanessa's Salisbury Steak

Servings: 6

"One of the best Salisbury steak recipes I've ever had. It has just enough zing to tantalize your tastebuds." Double the sauce for plenty of gravy. Sliced onions can go on top while simmering. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes; these also freeze well.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a bowl blend the soup, mustard, Worcestershire and horseradish.
  2. In another bowl mix the egg, bread crumbs, onion, salt, pepper, 1/4 cup of the soup mixture, and the ground beef. Form into 6 patties.
  3. Brown the patties on both sides, turning only once, in a lightly oiled pan on the stove.
  4. Mix the remaining soup mixture with the water and add to the pan. Cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes, until the beef is fully cooked.
